Nate Bowden is a graphic novelist based out of Savannah, GA where he lives with his wife and two year old son (who’s just learning that not all superheroes are Batman). He received a BFA in Sequential Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design and has four well received publications to his credit.
Nate is an avid student of story theory and the hero’s journey. He understands that character is at the heart of every successful narrative. Unless that character is a wizard. Nate hates wizards. But many amazing concepts (wizard and non-wizard alike) fall flat because they have nothing greater to say.
Although crime noir is his personal jam, he works in a variety of genres, able to play to an artist’s strengths. He draws inspiration from creators such as Aaron Sorkin, David Simon, Vince Gilligan and Jim Henson.
Works of Note: Riding Shotgun Vol.1 & 2, TokyoPop; Holliday, Oni Press.
